This chocolate slice is the perfect way to finish dinner. Or have after lunch. Or as a snack. Or anytime really.

  1. 125g butter, at room temperature, cubed
  2. 110g (1/2 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  3. 110g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 150g (1 cup) plain flour
  6. 1 250g pkt dark Choc Bits

The instruction how to make Chocolate-chip slice

  1. Preheat oven to 180u00b0C. Line the base of an 18 x 28cm (base measurement) slab pan with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Use electric beaters to beat the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar in a medium mixing bowl until light and creamy. Add the eggs and beat until combined. Sift the flour over the butter mixture and use the beaters on a low speed to mix until just combined. Add the choc bits and use a large metal spoon to mix until evenly combined.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the lined pan and use the back of the spoon to spread evenly. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool in the pan. Cut evenly into pieces.
